AECAR was born in 1978 from an entrepreneurial idea of the current President of the company Giancarlo Piemonte. AECAR was conceived as a sister company of MecBetras Italia, owned by the same entrepreneurial family.
In a few years, the company established itself as one of the leaders in the production of high-precision precious metal electrical contacts in both the national market and the international market. Together with the constant passion for work, the constant desire of growth is a key parameters for the evolution of the company.
OUR STORY
AECAR was officially born in 1978, but the history of the company starts way earlier.
At the end of the 1960s, the first Italian company in the production of electrical contacts in precious metal was founded: MEC BETRAS ITALIA.
For over 30 years, MEC BETRAS and AECAR had worked in synergy, supplying hundreds of millions of electrical contacts every year to the largest multinationals belonging to a wide range of industrial sectors. The strength of such a collaboration between MEC BETRAS and AECAR, now merged into AECAR only, has always been the same: the ability to follow its customers at 360 degrees thanks to a solid expertise in the production of any electrical contact in precious metal.
